1. Agreement to Terms
By enrolling in or accessing any course or product offered through this Teachable site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and ethical regulations. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using this site. All content is protected by applicable copyright and professional licensure guidelines.
2. Educational Purpose Only – No Therapy Provided
Although Julie Cardoza holds a license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), the content provided through this platform is for educational purposes only and does not constitute psychotherapy, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.
By participating, you acknowledge that:
- No therapist-client relationship is created by your enrollment;
- The course is not a substitute for therapy or medical care;
- You are responsible for seeking appropriate support for your personal mental health needs;
- If you are in crisis or experiencing acute distress, please contact a licensed provider or emergency services.
These courses are intended to offer general education in nervous system wellness, embodiment practices, and psychoeducation—not personalized mental health care.
3. Use License
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and access one copy of any materials for your personal, private, and non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute materials beyond personal use;
- Use materials for teaching, therapy, or professional resale;
- Share login credentials or reproduce content in groups without express permission;
- Record, replicate, or extract course content for commercial use.
Violating these terms will result in termination of access and may result in legal action.
4. Intellectual Property
All course content—including written materials, videos, and recorded presentations—is the intellectual property of Julie Cardoza, LMFT. You may not reproduce, adapt, or share this content outside the scope of the granted license without written consent.
5. No Guarantees or Promises
This educational content is designed to increase awareness and offer tools for self-reflection and nervous system education. However, results are not guaranteed and will vary by individual.
You acknowledge that participation does not ensure improvement in emotional regulation, stress, burnout, or any other health outcome.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Julie Cardoza, LMFT, is not liable for:
- Emotional distress, discomfort, or triggering content experienced during course participation;
- Any injuries (emotional, physical, or otherwise) arising from application of practices;
- Interruptions, delays, or technological errors with course access;
- Loss of data or financial losses from enrollment.
7. Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued for digital courses once purchased.
8. Medical and Mental Health Disclaimer
You understand and agree that:
- This course is not intended to treat or diagnose any mental health condition;
- Julie Cardoza is acting in her capacity as an educator and consultant, not as your therapist;
- You will not use this course as a substitute for clinical treatment;
- You are solely responsible for your participation, boundaries, and self-care during the course.
9. Release of Liability and Informed Consent
By enrolling, you voluntarily:
- Assume all responsibility for your experience;
- Waive any right to legal claims or damages against Julie Cardoza, LMFT;
- Acknowledge that no mental health treatment is being provided;
- Agree that participation is entirely at your discretion and risk.
10. Revisions and Errors
Content may include typographical or technical errors. Julie Cardoza reserves the right to update content at any time without obligation to notify you.
11. Community Conduct
If a course includes group interaction or forums, you agree to:
- Maintain respectful, non-disruptive conduct;
- Not share confidential, personal health information about others;
- Understand that group sessions are educational, not therapeutic.
Violation may result in removal from the course without refund.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
